Family owned and run, Chapel of the Highlands, was established by H. Clarence Larson on October 5, 1952, on the principles of serving the community, doing good for people, hard work, integrity, and placing the needs of the family first. The Chapel of the Highlands celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2012 and was voted “Millbrae Business of the Year” in 2014.
Upon the passing of Clarence Larson, the Chapel of the Highlands was passed to Paul Larson. Paul is highly regarded, respected, and active in San Mateo County. He has served as President of the Peninsula Lions Club and the Millbrae Lions Club. Today, Paul is the president of Chapel of the Highlands, I.C.F. and Vice President of the Millbrae Historical Society. When I sat down with Paul, he stated, “We have been helping and serving families, of all faiths and denominations, on the Peninsula, the East Bay, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, for 66+ years. Our services range from low-cost cremation, memorial services, complete funeral services, and everything in between. We take pride in serving our community and are committed to providing the highest level of service to all who seek our help.”
I asked Paul what makes Chapel of the Highlands unique and special. He replied, “We take time to discuss the priorities of our families. Our staff is available to answer questions and discuss options. We work hard to make this life event stress-free for our clients. Generations of families continue to come back to us for decades.”
Paul and the Chapel of the Highlands’ team are available to discuss and answer any questions you may have regarding cremation, funeral matters or pre-planning arrangements.
