Panorama Elementary School is on its Way to a Getting a New Playground

By: Sarah Neidhart, Panorama Elementary School Principal,

Panorama School recently received a grant of over $80,000 from KaBoom! to build a new play structure for their students. Thank you Panorama PAN PTO Co-President, Kate Goka for writing this grant! The first step was to meet our Kaboom! Project Manager, Jacob Statchler and start to design our new play structure. Students had many ideas about what their dream play structure would look like. School community members and staff are now working to plan and build the play structure on Saturday, December 22.
One of the first steps was to take down the current playground. A group of parents, former students, and friends worked all day to make this happen. Thank you to Raul, Ricky, and Frank Alcaraz, Joseph Gutierrez, Frankie Thumas, Martin Gonzales, Kelsey Tafeamalii, Jose Ortiz, Antonio Andrade, Sergio Garcia, Chris and Ralph Martin, Keegan Black, Norman Coral, and Kevin and Scott Anderson for working ALL DAY on Saturday to take down the play structure so that we can build a new one!
Panorama School is forever grateful to all the staff, students, and community members who have been working endlessly to make this happen. This project has taken a lot of teamwork! We are now getting ready to move on to the next stage of planning and you can join us!
