Here at the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank you for continuing to support our Brisbane businesses during this time. Fortunately, we have exciting news that a few beloved businesses have reopened their doors for takeout orders this week. As a reminder, the full list of open Brisbane restaurants can be found on our website.
7 Mile House will now be reopening for takeout orders Wednesday-Sunday 12PM-8PM. Pick up orders can be placed on their website or you can order delivery through GrubHub. If you’re looking to spice up your evening, consider checking out their selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Yes, you read that correctly, restaurants can now serve to-go alcoholic beverages. Cocktails are also available in larger sizes with 4-5 servings per container. Of course, don’t forget to pick up something extra special for your pooch as 7 Mile’s famous dog menu is also available! 7 Mile House is a historic business, open for more than 160 years, let’s help keep them open for another 160 more.
We are very excited to announce The Burrow will now be accepting pick up orders through their website. Select items can be ordered for immediate pick up. Items will be “express” meaning no customization of sweetness/milk type will be available in order to process orders rapidly. Toppings are still optional and both 16oz and 24oz sizes (iced drinks only) are being offered. Tea flavors are also streamlined with a limited menu of classic black, matcha latte, and jasmine green milk tea available for purchase. The Burrow also has select grab & go items including bottled drinks, up to 64 oz of pre-made milk teas, and snacks. Boba Guys has 10 Bay Area locations and only two are open, the Brisbane location being one. Let’s show them they made the right choice to reopen here.
The Brisbane Lions Club is spearheading a program to thank our first responders and essential workers that live in town by using donations from residents to purchase gift cards from our restaurants. Then, they deliver those gift cards to first responders and frontline workers living in Brisbane. This program supports our restaurants and expresses gratitude for our residents who are working tirelessly to keep us safe. If you are interested in participating, please contact Lion Sharon Boggs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As many Brisbane businesses begin to receive PPP funds, we want to remind you to carefully review the PPP guidelines in order to ensure the loan is 100% forgivable. If the loan is spent differently than the program outlines, business owners must repay some or all of the loan with interest. One easy way to determine how much you might need to repay is to use this PPP calculator.
Earlier this week, Shelter-In-Place was officially extended until May 31st. However, the county is hoping to modify the order or lift it before the 31st depending on hospital capacity, rate of infection, and the public’s behavior. While Shelter-In-Place has been extended, the county has made modifications to the order including: allowing people to travel up to 10 miles away for recreation and construction, gardening, and real estate transactions to resume with certain safety measures in place.
