President and founder Dilmohan Chadha of Integrated Resources Group (IRG) and past Brisbane Chamber of Commerce Board chairperson greeted me when I walked into the showroom of family owned IRG. He opened the interview speaking about how he and his wife Ameeta expanded IRG from one to three locations, Brisbane, Dublin and their newest location Sacramento since they began selling natural stone in 1986. Dilmohan Chadha said “Our business is built on trust. We are a family owned business. I recruited
my daughter, Jogreet Chadha, and I’m pleased to say she is now working with us.”
To meet the needs of home builders, fabricators, remodelers, architects, designers, contractors and developers, IRG’s mission is to provide the best surfaces which include a selection of
engineered stone, flooring, granite, ceramic tiles and mosaics, semi-precious slabs, quartz, porcelain, marble, quartzite, limestone and more. They also carry superior tile product lines all in-stock at their 60,000 square foot showroom. Customers can browse IRG’s inventory while knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer any questions.
Dilmohan explained of his team, “Our focus is on customer satisfaction. We want to be the best we can be to serve our customers. That’s why I meet with suppliers from Italy, India, and Brazil to select only the best blocks of material to serve the demands of our diverse Bay Area clientele. Because we maintain a robust network of suppliers, we can meet our customers’ needs. The biggest satisfaction is to assist people in finding the right material for their dream project.”
I asked Dilmohan where some of his stones are installed in case I wanted to see them up close. He mentioned that Redwood City’s City Hall building features IRG Imperial Red and Absolute Black Granite tiles sourced from India; San Francisco Customs Building showcases IRG Carrera Marble floors; and Sonoma Mission Inn Suites features dazzling IRG Rosa Zarci. Dilmohan also noted, “The demand for man-made engineered stone is growing.” I asked him to describe engineered stone in more detail to which he explained, “engineered stone usually consist of approximately 90 percent natural quartz bonded together by resins. They provide a similar look to natural stone but lack the characteristic variations and grain. They are more durable, less porous, heat- and stain-resistant and are often offered at a lower cost than natural stone.”
In closing, Dilmohan said “Saturday is one of our busiest days of the week, so if you’re looking for a quicker in-and-out experience, try to stop by on another day. We want to make sure each client selects the optimum stone for their project and knows about the care and proper installation.” Integrated Resources Group is located at 275 Valley Dr., Brisbane, CA 94005. They are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call IRG at 415-657-0280; take a moment to look at their website www.marblecompany.com, check them out on houzz.com and social media sites including: Instagram, Facebook, Yelp, and YouTube. I personally find it relaxing and welcoming to visit their showroom and investigate the largest selection of stone slabs in the Northern Bay Area.
