Early this year the casting department from the History channel TV show American Pickers connected with me about filming an episode in the Bay Area, wondering if I knew of any people Mike and Frank should visit to pick from. After reaching out to the community, a few people came forward interested in participating. However due to COVID, Mike and Frank never made it here to film their episode but they have rescheduled for December. If you or someone you know has a large collection of antiques that the pickers could spend the better part of a day looking through, please reach out to the American Pickers phone line: 1-855-653-7878 or email their casting department at email@example.com
. When reaching out, please include your: name, city and state, contact information, and brief description of your collection.
The pickers are looking for different, unusual, and unique items as well as things they may have never seen before with an interesting story. The pickers will only work with private collectors and will not visit stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, or anything open to the public.
If you are unfamiliar with the show, here is the synopsis:
“American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on the History channel. The hit show follows Mike and Frank, two of the most skilled pickers in the business, as the hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sixabkeu, unique collection and learn the interesting stories behind them.
As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.”
