Brisbane is known as the City of Stars as citizens and businesses decorated simple wood-frame stars with lights for the holidays. The Holiday Stars Program was started over 60 years ago. This is the first and oldest Chamber program Chamber project started in the late 1930s. Our late Director Emeritus “Star Maker” Frank Walch, passed the making the stars onto Skipper Bob Wilson, an active chamber member. The tradition continues today with the oversight of the Chamber — Golden State Lumber Company donates the lumber, Brisbane Hardware donates the hardware, and Chamber member "Skipper" Bob Wilson assembles the stars. To order Stars please call (415) 881-1931 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for your Star. Stars range in size from 3 feet to 8 feet tall.
